All prices on our website are in Australian dollars and are inclusive of GST.
Prices are subject to change without notice. Full payment is required at the time of submitting the order.
Exchange and Refund
All purchases on kojiandco.com.au are final, and we cannot exchange or give you are refund for changing your mind, so please choose carefully.
Replacement of damaged item
Koji and co will replace any purchased items found to be damaged at the time of delivery. However we will not take responsibility for any breakages after the order has been delivered in good condition.
At the time of delivery, if your order is in damaged condition, please contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org within 3 days of delivery. A replacement of the damaged item will be sent out as soon as possible.
Occasionally some items may not be available after an order has been placed for them. In this case, we will notify you as soon as possible via email and you can choose to either proceed with the remainder of your order or cancel the transaction.
Akita Sugi Wooden Products
Akita Sugi wooden products are handmade in Japan and carefully imported to Australia. The state of natural timber may be affected by the climate and storage condition. In the drier climate in Australia than Japan, there may be change in the state which could cause leakage in casks and tubs. Koji and co will not be responsible for such natural characteristics of wooden products.
Koji and co produces fermented products following own HACCP Food Safety Program and sells freshly made fermented foods that are not pasteurized. This means that the state of the products would change over time. Koji and co would not take on the responsibility where the consumers do not follow the instructions on its package including the Best Before date and the storage instructions.
Sake home-brewing kit
VCGLR (Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation) and local council in Victoria confirmed with us that it is permitted for us to home-brew Sake with this kit for personal use in Victoria, Australia.
However, when you consider serving at your restaurant or bar or selling Sake, you will need to obtain permits from VCGLR (and local council) and we Koji and co will not be responsible for it. The Sake making kit is designed for home-brewing for personal use.
Please check the requirement in your local area, if you use the kit outside of the state of Victoria.
Shipment to New Zealand
The products that Koji and co sells online and ships to New Zealand are limited to Tane Koji spores, text book, and some equipment such as steaming cloth. Akita Sugi products and foods including dried Koji grains are only available within Australia. While Tane Koji spores (A.oryzae) is a starter culture that is listed to bring in New Zealand however in case the parcel is confiscated at New Zealand Quarantine for some reason, unfortunately Koji and co cannot be responsible.
