Koji and co will replace any purchased items found to be damaged at the time of delivery. However we will not take responsibility for any breakages after the order has been delivered in good condition.
At the time of delivery, if your order is in damaged condition, please contact us via email at hello@kojiandco.com.au within 3 days of delivery. A replacement of the damaged item will be sent out as soon as possible.
Akita Sugi wooden products are handmade in Japan and carefully imported to Australia. The state of natural timber may be affected by the climate and storage condition. In the drier climate in Australia than Japan, there may be change in the state which could cause leakage in casks and tubs. Koji and co will not be responsible for such natural characteristics of wooden products.
Koji and co produces fermented products following own HACCP Food Safety Program and sells freshly made fermented foods that are not pasteurized. This means that the state of the products would change over time. Koji and co would not take on the responsibility where the consumers do not follow the instructions for shipping methods and on its package including the Best Before date and the storage instructions.
The products that Koji and co sells online and ships to New Zealand are limited to Tane Koji spores, text book, and some equipment such as steaming cloth. Akita Sugi products and foods including dried Koji grains are only available within Australia. While Tane Koji spores (A.oryzae) is a starter culture that is listed to bring in New Zealand, in case the parcel is confiscated at New Zealand Quarantine for some reason, unfortunately Koji and co cannot be responsible.
